Save Samut Prakan Flood Charity Project

first Social Media Charity project with the recent flood in Bangkok (Thailand) to prove that all together we can have an impact to save people using Facebook and Social Media.

The private School of Chumnimit in Samut Prakan is currently used for hosting local families who lost their homes due to the flood.

Samut Prakan is between Bangkok and the sea, and therefore a poor residential area used for evacuate water. Support there is really limited compare to Bangkok, and FindYourWayInBangkok wants to help the people actually stuck in the school by giving food and necessary support to stay in the school.

3 weeks ago, a wall of 1meter high has been set around the school for a cost of 4000 usd by the school owners providing poorl people from Samut Prakan a home to stay when flood arised.

The issue is now on food, and basic things to survive waiting for the water to go away.

FindYourWayInTheWorld and FindYourWayInBangkok CEO, Jean Charles Salvin helped by local people from Bangkok will go to Samut Prakan on 18/11/2011 in order to give away food, water. The school is more than 1000 student (from 4 to 6 years old) and we count more than thousands of family in need in Samut Prakan.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

It is important for us to keep transparent while doing fund raising, why? Because we want to prove you that all money which you are going to spend via this campaign is going to be spend fully on purchasing food.

So How does it work?
During the next weeks, we will run fund raising, then list down all reports (paypal and bank account statements) to show you how much money was raised, and then do a Youtube video of us going to purchase the food at Lotus (supermarket) in Bangkok on 18/11. From there we will drive to Samut Prakan and distribute the food during the day to the people in need.
